NCDP Endorses John Arrowood for NC Court of Appeals Judge

Have you heard about the NC Court of Appeals Judge race that has a whopping 19 candidates running, including 8 Democrats? Members of the North Carolina Democratic Party recently held a special meeting to select a candidate to endorse for this race, where they decided to support John Arrowood.

Judge John Arrowood served on the NC Court of Appeals from 2007 to 2008 after being appointed by Governor Mike Easley to fill a vacancy.  During his tenure, Arrowood authored opinions, concurrences, or dissents in over 100 cases.

Arrowood’s previous public service includes membership on the North Carolina Banking Commission, the North Carolina Rules Review Commission, the board of directors of the North Carolina Railroad Company, and the North Carolina Art’s Council.  He has also been active in Charlotte as a member of the Mint Museum Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors of the Urban Ministry’s Center, and the Vestry of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
