OUR AUXILIARIES

We are fortunate enough to have several auxiliaries associated with the Catawba County Democratic Party.
Each of these auxiliary organizations are designed to focus on and cater to the needs of individual sects of our greater organization. We currently have the following auxiliary groups. Established in 2014, the Democratic Women of Catawba County, or DWCC, is an inclusive and diverse group of progressive women committed to empowering everyone.

In 1928, much as today, the Democratic Party in our state stood at a crossroads. As infighting over prohibition threatened to tear the party apart, senior party leadership gathered in Raleigh and declared that “if the Democratic Party in North Carolina is to be saved, the young Democrats will have to do it.”
