2026 CCDP leadership opportunities: call for deputy officers

In order to achieve our goals of electing Democrats up and down the ballot, it is important to strengthen the organizing infrastructure that will carry us through the midterm election cycle and beyond.

We need to build a deep bench of engaged volunteers who can share the load, play the long game, and help ensure everything we do meets the high standards our community deserves. Whether it’s organizing events, managing communications, supporting candidates, or just keeping things running smoothly—there’s a place for you.

Deputy for Precinct Organization

Work in coordination with the first vice chair to organize and maintain precinct organization according to the State Plan of Organization
Implement on-going precinct leadership recruitment
Organize and implement precinct leadership training (in coordination with the second vice chair)
Work with precinct leadership in holding precinct meetings and events
Carry out other duties as may be required by the county party leadership

Deputy for Volunteer Coordination

Oversee and organize volunteer activities and needs in county party headquarters
Work in coordination with the county party secretary in maintaining a database of volunteer resources, to include their skills, interests, and volunteer participation in the county party
Serve as Votebuilder manager for county party executive committee and implement Votebuilder data entry of county party activities, leadership, and volunteers
Carry out other duties as may be required by the county party leadership

Deputy of Political Outreach Events

In coordination with the second vice chair implement political outreach events throughout the county to meet the goals of the county party strategic plan
Keep records of attendees and gather information about attendees interest in volunteering and party participation
Coordinate county party participation in community events
Work in coordination with the county party secretary in maintaining a database of recorded attendees
Carry out other duties as may be required by the county party leadership

Deputy of Communications

In coordination with the third vice chair carry out duties as assigned to implement the communication plan, including social media management and email marketing
Maintain communication contact lists, including text and email
Maintain county party contact lists for text and email
Carry out other duties as may be required by county party leadership

Deputy for Fundraising

Oversee in coordination with the Chair and Treasurer the work of the fundraising committee to implement the fundraising plan
In coordination with the county party secretary maintain a detailed database of donors and fundraising event attendees as part of the county party database
Serve as correspondence secretary for contact with donors
Carry out other duties as may be required by the county party leadership

Deputy Secretary

In the absence of the county party secretary record the minutes of county party officer meetings, county party executive committee meetings, and county convention
As delegated by the secretary assist in tasks and responsibilities
Carry out other duties as may be required by the county party leadership
